Enough for today

Wellness that cannot rest is just another job.

There is a version of taking care of yourself that never clocks out. Another supplement. Another rule. Another evening spent repairing the day you already lived.

The body hears that too. It learns that rest is a prize for finishing, and finishing never comes.

Enough is a practice. Close the kitchen. Leave the walk at the corner if that is as far as the legs wanted to go. Let the journal be three true lines and not a performance.

Gratitude belongs here. Not because the day was perfect. Because you are allowed to stop while you are still a person, not a project.

Tomorrow can have its hour. Tonight can be done.
